New England Clam Chowder (Dairy free)

8 slices of bacon
30 oz. clams, drained with reserved liquid
6 medium red potatoes, cubed
2 onions, chopped
3 tbs minced or chopped garlic
1 tsp black pepper
1 tsp fresh chopped rosemary
2 can evaporated milk or Silk Almond/Cashew milk
Salt to taste

Cook bacon and onion together until onions are tender.

Mix reserved clam liquid with water to make three cups. Pour into crock pot. Add potatoes and all seasonings. Cover and cook on low heat for 5 to 8 hours or on high heat for one to three hours.

Turn slow cooker to low and mix in clams and milk. Cover and cook an additional hour.
